Baby Bottle Campaign Raises Over $3,700

Dear Community Church,
It is with great pleasure that I would like to announce that Mt. Pleasant Community Church raised over $3,500.00 for Central Michigan Pregnancy Services through our Baby Bottle campaign. We are so grateful to everyone who contributed to this campaign. As the number of clients we serve increases, it is wonderful to experience the support and generosity of our friends and neighbors.

So many people gave generously in order that they might help us reach into our community with a message of truth and hope. I would like to share just of couple of the stories.

John and Nichol Black attended the 9:30 service on Mother's Day along with their children Amanda and Jordan. After service they came up to our table to acquire 2 baby bottles to take home and fill with change for CMPS. They came back an hour later with not only the two bottles filled, they also brought in a 5 gallon water bottle they were filling with coins as a means of saving for a vacation. They decided to give the entire contents to CMPS! We thank John, Nichol, Amanda and Jordan for allowing God to channel His blessing through them to others. They were excited to bring in this gift in order that we may support and educate mothers in our community. Their generosity and thoughtfulness encouraged us all at CMPS.

At MPCC we not only received money for our programs, we also received baby items for our Joyful Beginnings Store. Our baby store distributes thousands of items to young mothers enrolled in our Earn Why You Learn Program with maternity items, diapers, baby clothing, strollers, dressers, etc. Women in this program receive "baby bucks" (our currency) by attending parenting classes and completing homework. They are then able to spend their baby bucks on needed items at our Joyful Beginnings Store. Our store is in constant need of items.

While I was standing at our display table, Michelle Hull came up to me with her daughter Allison. With a smile, Allison presented me with a bag full of new baby items for our Joyful Beginnings Store. For Allison's 14th birthday party she had requested that her friends not bring a gift for her but in its place, bring a gift for the babies we serve at our Center. Seeing the beautiful heart of someone so young is a blessing and inspiration to us all. We are grateful to Allison and her family for the kindness and generosity they have shown to CMPS.

God is alive and well at Mt. Pleasant Community Church!

Psalm 112:9 "They share freely and give generously to those in need. Their good deeds will be remembered forever.

Blessings,

Mary Barz
