Senior Pastor Search The Senior Pastor Search Committee has been hard at work behind the scenes preparing a Senior Pastor job description and an “Opportunity Profile” on the basis of the input we have gleaned from the Executive Staff, Elders and church leaders, and many members of the congregation, both through the survey and from personal conversations. It has been a time-consuming process, but we are confident that the time we have invested will enable us to put Community Church’s best foot forward. We now have on the church website a link to an "Opportunity Profile" which provides a very good description of the leadership qualities required to take Community Church in the next steps of ministry to which God is calling us. This space on the website also provides a good overview of our church’s ministries and outreach to the mid-Michigan region. With this posted, we are launching an all-out advertising campaign which will include e-mail, direct mail, web advertisements in national magazines such as _Christianity Today_, and advertisements on the ministry opportunity pages of Reformed denominations and seminaries where we will be most likely to find candidates who will both be a good fit for Community Church and ordainable in the Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Please feel free to browse the Opportunity Profile. The Search Committee was excited to put it together and see what God is doing at Community Church. We think you’ll find it exciting to view, as will potential candidates for our Senior Pastor position. You will also find on the site a link to the members of the Senior Pastor Search Committee with our names and a brief biography. Please pray for us and for the search process, that God will use these efforts to bring us together with the Senior Pastor he is calling to lead us into our next stage of ministry.
